Electricity production in the Sumatera system is expected to rise an average 10.9% per year between 2010 and 2019, which increased from 21,533 GWh in 2010 to 54,807 GWh in 2019. Approximately 43% of production is to meet the demand in the system of Northern Sumatera (Sumbagut) and the rest was for the Southern Sumatra (Sumbagsel). Load factor is estimated between 65.4% to 66.9%. System peak load of Sumatra in 2010 was 3743 MW and will grow an average 10.7% per year, so it becomes 9355 MW in 2019.
Produksi listrik pada sistem Sumatera diperkirakan meningkat rata-rata 10,9% per tahun antara tahun 2010 dan 2019, yaitu meningkat dari 21.533 GWh pada tahun 2010 menjadi 54.807 GWh pada tahun 2019. Sekitar 43% dari produksi tersebut adalah untuk memenuhi demand di sistem Sumatera bagian utara (Sumbagut) dan selebihnya nya untuk Sumatera bagian Selatan (Sumbagsel). Faktor beban diperkirakan antara 65.4% sampai 66.9%. Beban puncak sistem Sumatera pada tahun 2010 adalah 3.743 MW dan akan tumbuh rata-rata 10.7% per tahun, sehingga menjadi 9.355 MW pada tahun 2019.
